Terms of Service

These terms are an agreement between your organization and Samninety, LLC ("Samninety," "we," "us"), the company that provides the Shear severe-weather alerting service ("Shear"). By using the service, you agree to them.

The service

Shear ingests U.S. National Weather Service products and routes alerts according to the profiles and channels your organization configures.

Not a sole warning system

Shear is a tool to assist trained personnel. It depends on third-party data feeds and delivery providers that can be delayed or unavailable. It is not a guaranteed or sole means of warning, and must not be relied on as one. Your organization is responsible for its warning decisions and for maintaining independent and backup procedures.

Acceptable use

Use the service lawfully, keep credentials secure, and don't attempt to disrupt or misuse it. You are responsible for the accuracy of the recipient information you enter and for having permission to message those recipients.

Availability

We work to keep the service reliable but do not warrant uninterrupted or error-free operation.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the service is provided "as is," and Samninety, LLC is not liable for indirect or consequential damages arising from use of, or inability to use, the service.

Changes

We may update these terms; material changes will be communicated to account administrators.
